HISTORY MUSEUM OF ARMENIA
- The History Museum of Armenia is a cultural organization of national significance, which over a century has been acquiring, collecting, discovering, accounting, preserving, studying, interpreting and exhibiting tangible and intangible cultural values related to Armenia and the Armenian people, contributing to the development of science, education, and tourism.
- Based on about four hundred thousand archaeological, ethnographic, numismatic and other collections, the museum tries to bridge the past and the future.

THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE MUSEUM-INSTITUTE
- The Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Foundation manages the Museum-Institute, founded in 1995, the Memorial dedicated to the victims of 1915 Armenian Genocide, raised in 1967, and a surrounding 100 wooded hectares of Tstitsernakaberd Memorial Park. The place has become a symbol of the Armenian Genocide collective memory.
- The Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Foundation is dedicated to preserving the memory and legacy of the Armenian Genocide by honouring 1,5 million Armenians who have perished during the horrible events at the beginning of the 20th century. MATENADARAN-MESROP MASHTOTS INSTITUTE OF ANCIENT MANUSCRIPTS
- Mesrop Mashtots Matenadaran is a research institute and museum with a valuable manuscript collection. The history of Matenadaran comes from the depths of centuries because the basis of its collection is the manuscript collection of the Catholicos of All Armenians, Saint Etchmiadzin, which, before moving to Yerevan in 1939, was already called “Matenadaran” (this word means a repository of manuscripts, a storehouse of books, a collection).
- Armenian manuscripts have existed in the Armenian Catholicosate since the 5th century when Mesrop Mashtots established it. The Catholicosate has since been settled in different places but steadily maintained a collection of manuscripts. In 1441, the Catholicosate of Armenia was re-established in St. Etchmiadzin, laying the foundation for its library, the collection of which grew over the following centuries. Go To Website>>>
YEREVAN HISTORY MUSEUM
- The Yerevan History Museum is the history museum of Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia. The museum was founded in 1931 as the Communal Museum. Currently, the museum is located in a building attached to the Yerevan City Council.
- Beginning in 1931, the museum was located in two rooms on the second floor of the Yerevan Fire Department building, and in 1936, it moved to the Blue Mosque (Gyoy-Djami). From 1994 to 1997, the museum was located in the former Hripsime Female Gymnasium. From 1997 to 2005, the museum functioned in one of the buildings of the school N1 named after Stepan Shahoumian. In 2005, the museum was established in a new building; it forms an architectural complex together with Yerevan City Hall.

EREBUNI HISTORICAL & ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM-RESERVE
- Erebuni Museum was established in 1968. The opening of the museum was timed to coincide with the 2750th anniversary of Yerevan. The Museum stands at the foot of the Arin Berd hill, on top of which the Urartian “Erebouni Fortress” has stood since 782 BCE.
- A Cuneiform inscription testifies that the city was built by Argishti I the King of Urartu in 782 BCE. The citadel was encircled by strong walls in some places built in three rows. The temple of God Khaldi occupied an important place in the fortress. The walls of the temple were decorated with numerous Frescos. Archeologists have found giant karasses, ceramics, potter’s wheels, and other articles used in everyday life. There is a huge collection of artifacts, sups, jars, bronze bracelets, glass, agate beads, and many other things that tell us about the life of the citadel, and the tastes and habits of its inhabitants. NATIONAL GALLERY OF ARMENIA
- The National Gallery of Armenia is the major fine art museum in Armenia and the largest in the world with its Armenian fine arts collection. Established in 1921 the Gallery includes more than 40 000 highly valuable works of Armenian and foreign fine art and those of decorative-applied art. The collection gives an idea of the history of the national fine art and decorative-applied art as well as presents world art from ancient times till present day.

MUSEUMS OF THE MOTHER SEE OF HOLY ETCHMIADZIN
- The Museums of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin are an integral part of the Armenian Apostolic Church and are located within the complex of Holy Etchmiadzin, the religious center of the Armenian Apostolic Church and one of the oldest cathedrals in the world. Holy Etchmiadzin is situated in the city of Vagharshapat (also known as Etchmiadzin) in Armenia.
