Overview
A trip full of interesting impressions awaits you to Aragatsotn and Shirak Regions of the Republic of Armenia. The first stop of the trip will be the city of Talin, the 7th century Talin Cathedral Katoghike is located here, its huge size and majestic appearance will not leave any visitor indifferent. Then we will visit the Dashtadem fortress, which historical origins date back to Urartian times. In the territory of the fortress you can also see the 10th century St. Sargis Church, and beyond the walls of the fortress, the ruins of the ancient Kagheni settlement. After the fortress, right next to the road, you can see the ruins of a medieval caravan, which was once important for travelers passing through the area. Not far away is the 7th-century nice Kristapor Monastery, where the three-story tomb-bell tower, khachkars (cross stones) of the 10-14th centuries and a dragon stone dating back to the BC 2nd millennium have been preserved. At the end of the tour, we will visit the Yereruyk Temple of the 4th-5th centuries, located on the left bank of the Akhuryan River, located right next to the Armenian-Turkish border.
